House Spending Bill Provision Seeks to Block Cannabis Rescheduling Process

A US House subcommittee, specifically the Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Subcommittee, approved a spending bill that includes a provision designed to block the Department of Justice (DOJ) from rescheduling Cannabis. This happened on July 15, 2025.  However, the bill’s journey is not over. It still needs to be considered and potentially approved by the full House Appropriations Committee and then potentially by the full House of Representatives before it could become law.  Read full article here
